IMMERSION COURSE

Next Sunday 25th November the students of year 6 will start an "immersion course" in Victoria.They will learn English and they will make new friends because children from Lleida participate in this course too.

The main objective of this immersion course is for students to experience English in a fun and different way and to motivate them to use English by taking it outside the traditional context of the English language classroom.

We aim to teach through the students own developed interest and energy, and by using authentic material presented in a dynamic way, through games, group competitions, drama, and projects.

A series of "mini-projects" (1 for each topic and day; i.e. 1 on day 1 for water, another on day 2 for the earth, etc) could be combined to produce a final piece od work. This way, the students will be able to choose from alla five topics for their presentation when they return to school.

Their final project will consist of an oral based presentation that reflects both the themes covered throughout the course, and a new confidence and familiarity with self expression in English

THE STUDENTS
